The 24K gold layer on silver details can wear away and get thinner over time. Household chemicals, perspiration, chlorinated water, skin cosmetics and perfumes, worn fabrics etc. may influence the jewellery durability and initial appearance change – so be sure to take off your jewellery when doing sports, taking a sauna, swimming in chlorinated or salty water etc.
Use a special jewellery polishing cloth to clean your jewellery items periodically.
- Avoid scratching your necklace against hard surfaces (e.g. counter tops, car keys in your pocket or purse etc.);
- Keep your necklace in a separate cotton bag or box. Make sure you don’t store multiple jewelry pieces in the same bag: the individual pieces can scratch each other;
- Store your jewellery in dry spaces, other than your bathroom.
